Our story…

Splash Events was established in 2006 when current owner and creative director Nicole Hopkins moved from Sydney with her family to settle on the Sunshine Coast. With a desire to utilize her design experience, creative ability and passion for events Nicole founded Splash Events. From small beginnings, Splash Events grew quickly to become one of the leading event decorating companies on the Sunshine Coast with a strong reputation of providing refreshing & unique designs, exceptional service and flawless event outcomes.

Splash Events specialise in the design and decoration of all events for those who want a distinct, tasteful, stylish and professional look which is also eye catching. With three different sides to the business – Weddings, Corporate and Parties, Splash Events has made a huge mark on the Sunshine Coast when it comes to creating vivid and unique events.

Our professional event stylists will assist you in coordinating decor from our extensive range. We can recommend stunning colour combinations, decor choices, linen and accessories, along with professional advice and unique design concepts to expertly style your event. We will then deliver, set up and dismantle, so you can totally relax and enjoy your special day.

With 10 years’ experience in the Wedding & Events business, we have created, coordinated and delivered countless number of Weddings, private and corporate events. We employ well trained professional team members who all contribute to ensuring that our high standards are met and your event is perfect, stunning and unforgettable!

About Nicole...

From childhood decorating family parties with questionable albeit creative centrepieces, Nicole has always looked for that something extra to turn something ordinary into extraordinary. A diverse professional career has equipped Nicole with the many skills required to manage a successful small business. Her passion for creating beautiful and unique events combined with strong organizational abilities, high standards and eye for the new and different are only the beginning. She has a warm, outgoing personality with a genuine interest in people and hence her greatest skill – she will LISTEN to you, understand what you want, then turn your dream into reality. Nicole is very hands on and happy to get her hands dirty and can regularly be seen up a ladder or putting on a chair cover! 

With a career spanning 25 years within design and interior decorating it is no wonder Splash Events creates such individual and eye catching events. Starting as a visual merchandiser for Myer in Sydney, Nicole spent 10 years as one of the elite decorating team concentrating on Myer grand openings and major events. Expanding her knowledge base the last 12 years have been spent specialising in Wedding and Special event styling, interior decorating, home improvements and lifestyle makeovers. Splash Events itself is a unique concept which has gained an unheralded popularity as organisers from all types of events use Nicole's expertise and knowledge of the Sunshine Coast to make their event one-offs.
